About the Job

Based within the Disability & Dyslexia Team in Student Services, you will assist in providing support and guidance to students and applicants with disabilities/dyslexia and to liaise with staff and other agencies to ensure the support that students require are implemented. The role requires someone to assist with projects and reviews by gathering, collating and producing information as advised and help with the organisation and implementation of Disability & Dyslexia Team events, open days & training, including room booking, hospitality, AV etc. You will provide support to the work of the Operations Team via the Operations Manager to ensure full support for operational activities underpinning the successful performance of Student and Academic Services.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with disabilities and dyslexia and dedicated to fostering an inclusive and empowering learning environment. Educated to A level or equivalent qualification, you will ideally have some knowledge of the Equalities Act and DSA legislation within the HE sector. You will provide one-on-one support to students with disabilities and dyslexia, ensuring their academic and personal needs are met and help students navigate and access learning materials, adapting them as necessary to accommodate their specific needs. Excellent communication and team working skills are essential for the role. We are seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious person who ideally has some experience of working with people with disabilities in a large, complex organisation.
