The School of Health Science is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant (RA) to work with a team of multidisciplinary researchers and members of the public in delivering a project funded by NIHR Applied Research Collaboration – Kent, Surrey and Sussex (NIHR ARC KSS). The project aims at Co-designing a health and wellbeing self-report digital tool to improve equality of access and outcomes in people diagnosed with dementia and mild-to-moderate cognitive impairment.

This is a two-phased collaborative project between the University of Surrey, other member organisations of NIHR ARC KSS. The appointed RA will support the delivery of the first phase of the project, led by Prof Jo Armes as a local PI, and will be based at the School of Health Sciences, University of Surrey.

This is a part-time (0.8 FTE) and a fixed-term post for 11 months. The ideal candidate will have experience in qualitative health research, facilitating focus group discussions with members of the public, qualitative data analysis and reporting research findings. Experience working with individuals with lived experience of mild cognitive impairment or dementia will be an added advantage. The appointed candidate will be expected to travel to other research sites within Kent and Sussex to facilitate research activities as required.

Informal enquiries may be made to Dr. Nyangi Gityamwi - Nyangi.gityamwi@surrey.ac.uk or Prof. Jo Armes - jo.armes@surrey.ac.uk
