We are very pleased to advertise for external applicants for a new full-time Senior Lecturer post to support the strategic direction of the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, particularly in relation to the clinical components of the course and placements. The post holder will bring leadership and training experience and will act as Deputy Clinical Director for the course, enhancing links across NHS, charity and third sector placements and supporting the Clinical Director with strategic and line management responsibilities in collaboration with our trainee NHS employer. The Doctorate Course in Clinical Psychology, is a large, well-established course, with a national reputation for innovative practice and research. The appointee will join a friendly team of 18 academic staff and four administrative staff who are committed to training future psychologists to meet the psychological needs of the diverse populations with whom we work across London. The course sits within a vibrant Psychology Department, which ranks as joint third for research in the UK. Information about our existing research and teaching programmes can be found here: http://www.rhul.ac.uk/psychology/home.aspx
The post is designated as a senior lectureship within the professional practice pathway, which recognises and rewards the applied nature of the work of clinical psychology. Applicants should be HCPC Registered as a Clinical Psychologist, have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (recognised by the British Psychological Society) and bring significant NHS or University clinical psychology leadership experience, with demonstrable skills in supervision, training, leadership and management related to clinical psychology.
