Strength and Conditioning Coach
Salary: £22,284 to £24,585 per annum
Post Type: Full Time
Closing Date: 23.59 hours BST on Monday 19 June 2023
This is an exciting new position within our Performance Team, as we expand our support service provision. Surrey Sports Park is at the heart of sport and physical activity in Surrey, and our mission is to deliver the best possible sport, health, and wellbeing experience to our University of Surrey students, the wider SSP community, and our Franchise athletes. We provide strategic added value to the University by delivering an outstanding student experience through social and competitive sport and providing an excellent environment for wellness and fitness for Surrey staff and students, and our community impact is significant both culturally and physically.
We aspire to be a leading institution for performance sport, providing exceptional facilities and coaching to the student-athletes, franchise players, and local athletes who train and develop at the Sports Park. The successful candidate will deliver strength and conditioning sessions for our Surrey Scorchers basketball pathway, Surrey Storm netball pathway, and Team Surrey high-performance student-athletes. On occasion, there will also be commercial delivery of private clients and schools/local teams. Therefore, applicants must have experience programming for multiple performance athletes and be comfortable when delivering to individuals and groups, quickly developing rapport and engagement.
This role is predominately Monday to Friday (with significant non-traditional working hours during the academic year and professional sport seasons), and there is the expectation that the post holder will assist on weekends on occasion.
Please contact Tom Edwards via firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about the role.
The supporting statement section should set out how your qualifications, experience, and training meet each of the selection criteria. Please provide one or more paragraphs addressing each criterion.
