We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Domestic Services Manager to join us as part of our Campus Services Team.

Based at the University’s Highfield Campus you will be responsible for our domestic services team of circa 130 employees who service a diverse range of buildings across our academic sites and have both staff, students and external stakeholders as key customers.

You will be responsible for managing a financially viable, high quality cleaning service with customer satisfaction a key priority. Communication and teamwork with colleagues and stakeholders will be central to your role, as will workload planning and securing resources. 

You will have an excellent knowledge of the cleaning industry and you will be required to consider and implement new ways of working that target service improvement and embed a culture of continuous development within the Domestic Services Team.

You will need up-to-date and extensive knowledge of the cleaning industry to influence business planning and budget setting decisions relating these to industry best practice.

You will be able to demonstrate a good track record of managing across multiple sites, be flexible in your approach, have strong people management skills and the ability to maintain our status as a recognised BICs training centre.

This position will normally be located on the University of Southampton’s Highfield Campus.  However, you will also be required to visit all other campuses on a regular basis.
