The University is undergoing an exciting time of transformation, growth and change. It is embarking on a transformational program to enhance student learning and increase student enrolments through the development of new capabilities and capacities that will generate new online courses and a more flexible approach to delivering existing courses, whether it be at our Bruce campus, our campus in the cloud or with our partners. The University is also undertaking a realignment in its support for learning and teaching, its curriculum development and its policy suite. This management role gives you the opportunity to bring your skills and experience to influence and impact these important changes at the University.

In this role you will work closely with the Director, Learning and Teaching, as you manage and lead the development and implementation of strategies that support course design and development, while implementing a continuous improvement approach with a focus on implementation, efficiency, and quality.

The team you will lead includes a focus on education design supporting academic staff development for use of UC’s virtual learning environment.  You will bring an innovative focus on best pedagogical practice using educational technologies that will enhance learning experience for students.  You will build strong partnerships with faculties to deliver business unit objectives.

This role would suit someone who has demonstrated experience in within an educational and learning design (particularly within the Higher Education space).
