MASARYK UNIVERSITY THE DEAN OF THE FACULTY OF SOCIAL STUDIES INVITES APPLICATIONS for the position of Postdoc Researcher at the Psychology Research Institute (INPSY)

Extent: 1 FTE (40 hours a week)
Expected start: September 1, 2023

The position includes: 

  • Participation in research projects focused on the psychology of ageing;
  • Cooperation on the development of research projects, research designs, and pilot studies
  • Independent research;
  • Preparation of publications and other outputs (presentations at international conferences, research reports);
  • Advanced data analysis;
  • Supervision of M.A. theses in English and co-supervision of Ph.D. theses; and
  • Participation in all departmental activities

Required qualifications and competencies:

  • Ph.D. in psychology/psychiatry (or a dissertation thesis submitted for evaluation);
  • Research and publishing activities in the field of ageing and later-life relationships;
  • Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research;
  • Writing academic text in English;
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in English; and
  • Intensive academic work experience abroad / Ph.D. degree from abroad / intensive involvement in an international research project.

We offer:

  • Full-time work (40 hours per week) in Brno;
  • Flexible working hours, including home office;
  • 50-55,000 CZK/month gross salary (median salary in the Czech Republic: 35,000 CZK);
