About the Job

As a Senior Income Officer, you will manage the commercial accounts under the guidance of the Income Manager and Head of Service, to efficiently and effectively collect income owed to the university. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and varied professional environment which supports the student experience and the financial services of the university. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • To supervise the day-to-day activities of the Income and Credit Control team members and lead collections processes as determined by the Head of Income and Credit Control
  • To provide instruction, support, and guidance to Income and Credit Control team members, identifying and keeping the Head of Income and Credit Control updated of any areas of concern or areas in which we can make improvement/changes
  • To assist with the training, development, and monitoring of new and existing team members, making sure they are all kept up to date with new/revised policies, procedures, and processes

About You

The successful candidate will be expected to perform a wide range of duties, so we are looking for an individual with recent experience in a senior credit control role within in a busy income collection team and a flexible positive attitude to team and individual tasks. You will need to develop a good understanding of the work of the specialist teams in order provide effective advice and assistance to solve problems.

The role would suit an experienced senior credit controller seeking a varied role in a very busy income collections team. Excellent excel, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate information to suit the needs of different audiences is essential to succeeding in this role.
