Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Technical Officer within UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering.
The teaching, research, and innovation activities within the UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering involve a continually changing and a wide variety of customised equipment, components, and experimental systems. The post of Technical Officer will be based in the materials processing, characterisation and mechanical testing laboratories and will work in consultation with staff, postgraduate and undergraduate students. The Technical Officer will provide support, maintenance and training for the on-going research and teaching activities involving mechanical testing and materials characterisation techniques such as X-ray Diffraction, optical / electron microscopy, DSC / TGA along with metallographic specimen preparation.
95 Technical Officer\2013 (7915) Salary Scale: 42,970 - 56,784 Per Annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
