Department of Management

The Department of Management (http://www.ln.edu.hk/mgt) is one of the five departments in the Faculty of Business that contribute to the undergraduate programme of Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) degree. The Department also runs a Master of Science Programme in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour, supervises research postgraduate students, and offers a variety of courses that aim to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and qualifications to meet the needs of business and society in Hong Kong, Asia, and beyond.

The main responsibilities of the post are to: 1) conduct original research and publish papers in esteemed journals; 2) perform teaching duties in the management-related areas; and (3) undertake administrative duties. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English are essential.

General Requirements

Lingnan University pursues excellence in both teaching and research. Applicants for the post should have obtained a PhD degree in Management or a related discipline in recent years, and should demonstrate commitment to teaching, research excellence and programme administration. Applicants should provide information about their work experience, qualifications, research interests and achievements. A statement of their publication record and of any articles currently under review is required, along with evidence of quality teaching and administration performed.

Appointment

The conditions of appointments will be competitive. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointees. For Postdoctoral Fellow, appointments will normally be made on contract basis for two years. Experienced Postdoctoral Fellow may carry a functional title of Research Assistant Professor.
