Job Description

• Knowledge of postgraduate training systems for health professionals
• Awareness and knowledge of concepts and approaches of quality assurance and accreditation in context of postgraduate specialty training
• Analytical skills in assessing postgraduate specialty programs in terms of performance and quality
• Skills in handling accreditation requirements and process in context of postgraduate specialty education
• Effective communication and coordination skills
• Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Leadership and management competencies including organizational abilities and supervision skills. Recommended training courses
• Quality assurance for health professions education
• Accreditation of specialty education

Minimum Qualification

• MBBS or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in one of the medical specialties
• Postgraduate degree/certificate in medical education or equivalent

Preferred Qualification

As Above

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience

• Consultant status or at least 3 years’ experience post specialty qualification
• Experience in management of postgraduate specialty programs
• Experience with accreditation systems for postgraduate specialty education
