About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician in the final stages of or recently completed their PhD to join our dynamic acute cardiorespiratory rehabilitation research team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with renowned researchers, contribute to impactful projects, and develop as an independent researcher within a supportive team. With strong collaborations nationally and internationally, this role offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on optimizing recovery outcomes for patients following critical illness, cancer, and major surgery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in research independently and as a member of the research team coordinating and carrying out research on nominated projects and provide general coordination of research projects. 
  • Coordinate and conduct detailed clinical assessments and interventions with patients and family members with support from supervisors.
  • Steady development of an academic research profile in acute cardiorespiratory rehabilitation. 
  • Attend and actively contribute to research team meetings through participation in discussions and managing documentation (agenda & minutes). 

Who We Are Looking For

You possess exceptional organisational skills, adept at managing time and workload, along with advanced problem-solving abilities, enabling you to work independently. Your outstanding verbal and written communication skills allow you to establish and maintain productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

You will also have:

  • AHPRA unrestricted registration
  • Undergraduate degree in clinical discipline with minimum of two years clinical experience working as an health professional within the Australian healthcare setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a co-operative and collegial manner including flexibility in response to changing priorities
  • Experience in participating in research, quality projects and /or project management in a university, health care and/or community organisation setting
