The Manager Suicide Prevention and Postvention is a unique new role for UOW which has the ability to influence significant change across UOW and the communities that UOW supports. The role is responsible for leading institution-wide, and curriculum embedded programs that enhance awareness, skills and capabilities in suicide prevention and postvention for both staff and students. This role also provides strategic advice and expertise in the development and implementation of student mental health frameworks.  The role will work with internal and external stakeholders to design and coordinate implementation of the University of Wollongong (UOW) suicide prevention and postvention and student mental health initiatives, ensuring the perspectives and experiences of the UOW community are included in frameworks and decision-making processes. The Senior Manager Suicide Prevention and Postvention will also work with Faculties and Departments across UOW’s onshore campuses, to embed principles of suicide prevention into institutional practices and provide clinical intervention as required.
