Senior Vice President Academic

ILAC seeks its inaugural Senior Vice President Academic who will serve as a leader and champion for ILAC's academic mission, advancing and promoting its reputation and continued growth strategy as a leading global educational institution.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and located at ILAC’s Toronto campus, the Senior Vice President Academic will lead the academic enterprise, ensuring the delivery of rigorous programs that meet the highest standards of academic excellence as well as fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students. They will play a central role in ensuring the quality of teaching and learning, and will oversee recruitment, development, and evaluation processes for Deans and faculty, leading academic and resource planning activities and policy and procedure development towards excellence and accountability. Developing and implementing an academic plan aligned with ILAC’s strategic enrolment management and retention goals will be key initiatives for the Senior Vice President Academic along with developing and monitoring the academic budget. The Senior Vice President Academic will play a central role in developing and maintaining positive and productive relationships with ILAC’s public sector partner institutions and government agencies, and will ensure compliance with all provincial and national regulations.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished academic leader with a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial mindset and a proven track record across all pillars of academic administration including enrolment growth, program development and assessment, excellence in teaching and learning, strategic and resource planning, and driving an organizational culture of innovation and continuous improvement. A visionary leader, the candidate will possess the ability to set and achieve strategic goals using a leadership style that is collegial and approachable. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills will be crucial, as the Senior Vice President Academic will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders, including partner institutions. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an environment that supports students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds. To be successful in the role, candidates will require a post-graduate degree in a relevant field; a doctoral degree will be considered an asset.
