Senior Programmes Officer

The Department of Informatics is looking to recruit a full-time Senior Programmes Officer to support the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught Programmes. This role would suit an experienced administrator ready for the next stage in their career.  

The Senior Programme Officer provides essential support to students and academics, working as part of the programmes team to ensure that high quality administrative and student support is provided from enrolment to graduation. Having line management responsibilities for Programme Officers, the role holder is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of programme administration of several courses and ensuring tasks are carried out to a high level of accuracy.  

The role includes resolving complex queries and issues, completing activities such as assessment planning, timetabling, the production of handbooks and overseeing student support and engagement, during the teaching and assessment life cycle.  

Whilst working with colleagues to plan and co-ordinate a varied set of activities, you will have opportunities to further develop your knowledge of regulations and contribute to professional networks promoting best practice.

This is currently a hybrid role and the role holder will spend part of their working week on campus and part of the week working remotely. On campus days are allocated via a rota and requirements may differ at busy times of year.
