About the Job
As a member of the School Management Team, your key responsibilities include supporting the Dean in developing and implementing school strategy, managing the administrative support team, ensuring efficient service provision to academic staff and other departments, managing school resources and budget, and acting as a liaison with central functions for effective communication and coordination within the school.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide professional advice and support to the Dean of School and all members of the School Management and Leadership teams
- Contribute significantly to the development, monitoring, and completion of the School Plan, including accurate data capture and analysis, leading on specific projects in the plan, such as capital projects
- Working closely with the Dean of School, other budget holders and Finance Business Partner in the preparation, forecasting, monitoring, and review of budgets within the required financial regulations, policies, and procedures
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience of working at a middle management level in an administrative/business management capacity in Higher Education or related sector, with previous demonstrable experience of effective finance, budget, and resource management with understanding of procurement and related processes.
You will be detail-focused, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of digital literacy and IT skills, including MS Office and Teams, data analytics tools (Power BI), and financial management systems.
