Applications are invited for a Temporary post, of a Technical Officer and Senior Technical Officer within UCD Veterinary Hospital, School of Veterinary Medicine

This is a full time, radiographer position based in the diagnostic imaging (DI) unit of the University College Dublin Veterinary Hospital (UCDVH). The job entails radiography of companion (dogs, cats etc.) and large animals (horses, farm animals). Technical requirements include the ability to use fixed and portable x-ray sets, C arm fluoroscopic units, DR systems, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.

The University College Dublin Veterinary Hospital is a teaching hospital for both veterinary medicine and veterinary nursing students. This post involves teaching technical radiography and radiation safety skills to students on clinical placement in the diagnostic imaging unit and providing occasional tutorials.

An administrative role in processing the DI unit caseload, that involves interaction with clients, staff, the veterinary profession and the public regarding aspects of imaging procedures forms part of the day-to-day activities

Salary: Technical Officer\2010 (1002\X): 45,274 - 54,050 per annum. Snr Technical Officer_2013 (7916) 51,058 - 68,223 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
