About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Specialist to make a significant impact on the Radiology teaching programme at the University of Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery and enhancement of a coordinated Radiology programme across multiple clinical sites. You will play a crucial role in measuring and improving the quality of teaching, reviewing existing programs and tutors, and ensuring a seamless transition to a digital format. Additionally, you may have the chance to deputize for the Head of Teaching and Learning, providing valuable leadership experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in maintaining the quality and delivery of the Undergraduate and MD Radiology teaching programs.
  • Contribute to the review and restructuring of Radiology teaching programs to ensure updated digital teaching and examining methods.
  • Advise on and manage infrastructure changes required for the implementation of digital teaching and examining.
  • Provide leadership in Radiology teaching within the University and affiliated institutions, contributing to strategic planning and policy decision making processes.

Who We Are Looking For

You are an exceptional candidate with strong leadership skills, proven ability to build successful partnerships, and maintain stakeholder relationships. Your extensive clinical experience in Radiology, excellent communication skills, and willingness to contribute to academic standards and policy through committee representation demonstrate your expertise and commitment to the field.

You will also have:

  • A medical qualification, registrable in the state of Victoria
  • Radiology specialist qualification FRANZCR or equivalent Sustained record of excellence in teaching practice and a strong record of involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical education
  • Commitment to the highest standards of Radiology teaching and learning with an ability to further develop student radiology teaching
  • Proven contribution to academic, institutional and public life through active participation in professional associations

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
