Following the realignment of our subject areas and significant development of our Technology portfolio in collaboration with BT and our campus development at Adastral Park in the heart of BT’s research and development park (DigiTech Centre), which is also home to over 150 Tech Companies our School of Technology, Business and Arts is seeking to appoint a Dean of School who will join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an exciting time to join the University of Suffolk, where you will contribute to developing and delivering the University’s Strategic Plan.

As Dean of the school, covering a wide range of subject areas, you will lead the school's development and expansion, especially in Technology, ensuring its activities are aligned to meet the University’s vision and the region’s needs. You will lead in developing the school’s portfolio and student experience and drive a culture of enterprise, business engagement and research excellence.

The School of Technology, Business and Arts strongly focuses on integrating arts and creative technologies with science and engineering. This enables our graduates to place sustainability, aesthetics and human factors at the heart of their work.

About you

You will have a strong academic background, be educated to PhD level and be an expert in your subject or professional area. You will have a substantial record of teaching, research and/or professional practice - especially in technology and creative Tec. You will also possess a varied and wide-ranging set of professional skills, including excellent communication, leadership, management, organisational and planning skills.
