Research Technician in the Division of Science (Psychology), Dr. Theodore Waters

Description

The Waters Laboratory in the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Research Technician to work on the research related to impact of early caregiving experiences on later psychological adjustment and relationship functioning across cultures.

The successful applicant will be well prepared to take a leadership role in the collection and assessment of parenting data, attachment representations, and psycho-social functioning. The ability to speak and read Mandarin fluently is considered a strength, as much of the research associated with the position will be in collaboration with NYU Shanghai scholars. Familiarity with longitudinal data analysis is also considered a significant strength. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, a graduate student, and upper level undergraduate students.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and experience working in the area of developmental psychology and attachment. Cross cultural research experience is required and the ability to code secure base-script knowledge from narrative data is highly desirable.
