Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Interior Design

Faculty / Directorate

The Faculty of Art Design and Humanities helps prepare and develop entrant industry professionals with the knowledge and expertise to make a significant difference in the design field. The Interior Design programme is a 3-year undergraduate course. It is an area with a longstanding history and reputation, supported with extensive and dedicated facilities within our campus. The Interior Design programmes develop students into creative professionals who can respond to future global challenges and reflect the importance of sustainability and inclusivity in contemporary interior design. The studio-based courses explore the regeneration and adaptation of real buildings and develops their visual communication skills in drawing, 3D modelling, computing, computer-aided design (CAD) and Virtual Reality (VR).

Role

We are looking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Interior Design. You will be required to teach on the Interior Design programmes, and provide specialised knowledge. You will support Subject and Programme Lead in the ongoing development of Interior Design. To maintain personal research and use your knowledge to enhance your teaching.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced, ambitious Lecturer/Senior Lecturer within the subject area of Interior Design. You will have experience of commercial practice (Interior Design), teaching in Higher Education, management of course design and delivery, and a desire to undertake research contributing to the future and ongoing development of the subject area. You will have access to a range of training opportunities and facilities relevant to your on-going professional development/practice and the ability to develop and maintain your own scholarly and/or professional profile.
