At the Biotechnology Center (BIOTEC), an Institute of the Center for Molecular and Cellular Bioengineering (CMCB), the Chair of Biophysics offers, subject to the availability of resources, a position as 

Research Associate (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting as soon as possible. The position is limited until December 14, 2025 with the option of extension. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). 

Tasks: Investigation of uptake and processing of dietary lipids in human gut and liver organoids using lipid imaging and mass-spectrometry. Optimization of organoid culture methods to enable apical delivery of lipids with simultaneous optical access.

Requirements: university and PhD degree in Biology, Physics or Chemistry (or related fields). Previous experience in lipid biology, organoids and fluorescence microscopy will be considered positively.
