Description

The Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (CGSB) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit a Research Associate in the Interdisciplinary Program under the supervision of Professor Khalil Ramadi.

The Ramadi Laboratory develop novel medical technologies and are seeking candidates to design and develop ingestible devices for gastrointestinal interfacing. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate and undergraduate students, ensuring the candidate learns valuable skills in writing manuscripts and grant proposals, advising fellow researchers, and establishing collaborations across disciplines.

The Research Associate will:

• Design and conduct experiments.
• Write grant proposals and manuscripts.
• Manage project logistics (e.g. purchasing equipment and consumables).

Applicants must have:

• Ph.D. in Engineering.
• Postdoctoral working experience in engineering/biomedical disciplines.
• Device design and fabrication.
• Experimental design and execution.
• Data analysis.

This position will begin on September 01, 2023, and will be for a period of 1 year. This position will be based at New York University in Abu Dhabi, and the candidate must be ready to relocate to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
