Research Officer, Research and Innovation

Applications are invited for a Temporary 5-year post of a Research Officer within UCD Research and Innovation. T

he Research Officer will join the Research Programmes Team within the UCD Research and Innovation unit. The key objective for the Research Programmes team is to facilitate and support UCD researchers in the development of competitive applications for national and international PI led research funding.

The Research Officer will play a key role in providing high level specific professional support to the research community at the early stages of the research project lifecycle. This includes the provision of professional support to researchers in the identification of the research funding pipeline, applying for research funding, and ensuring that all UCD's research submissions are highly enhanced, competitive and effective in securing funding. This will involve working in partnership with Schools, Colleges and Institutes and other central support units to ensure that the needs of the researchers are being met in a timely and effective manner with regard to funded research activity at UCD. In addition, the Research Officer will act as the primary point of contact with the relevant funding agencies in order to design highly effective supports.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
