The Role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Enterprise Director to help lead our Research, Technology Development and Innovation (RTDI) project, DecaMap (formerly CoPilot-AI). This project won the overall prize in the recent Science Foundation Ireland-Defence Organisation Innovation Challenge competition and focuses on providing a comprehensive digital Common Operational Picture to support Responders in managing Emergency Events such as Wildfires. 

The Digital Enterprise Director will work closely with the DecaMap PrincipaI Investigators: Prof. Tim McCarthy (PI) and Prof. John McDonald (Co-PI) and wider Ops Board Team and will be in charge of overall RTDI activities in developing core DecaMap Data Platform technologies. These platform technologies include data-streams captured by Spaceborne, Aerial, Drone and Mobile platforms equipped with various multi-thematic sensors (Optical, LiDAR, Navigation etc). Highly automated processors, toolkit and workflows will be developed on DecaMap cloud based platforms to ingest, index, fuse, analyse and visualise these datasets. The Digital Enterprise Director will lead on stakeholder engagement, collating end-user needs and coordinating prototype development and trials with the DecaMap Research and Software Engineering team.

Salary

Salary €73,486 p.a. (pro rata if part-time).

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
