The Faculty of Engineering & Science is one of four faculties at the University of Greenwich, split across two campuses – the Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, Kent, and the Greenwich Campus in Greenwich, London. Dedicated to inspirational learning, combining teaching with work placements and impactful research and is a complete hub for all STEM subjects within the University.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive individual to this exciting new role within our Faculty.  If you have proven administrative experience in a large organisation, ideally within higher education and possess strong communication skills, with the ability to quickly build positive working relationships with our administrative and academic colleagues, we encourage you to apply for this post.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills and experience in project management as you will be responsible for managing the administrative tasks relating to accreditation/validation events in the Faculty.  You will work with academic staff in preparing submission data and documents, as well as supporting the events.

You will also be responsible for arranging and servicing Industrial Board meetings within the Faculty so should possess current experience in minute-taking in a range of committees and meetings.

Also of key importance is the need for excellent IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint).

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be based at Greenwich campus (which will include London weighting), or our Medway campus, however you will be expected to work across both campuses.  The post reports to our Faculty Standards and Support Manager.

For an informal discussion about the post please contact Faculty Standards and Support Manager – Bettina Hirmer (B.Hirmer@greenwich.ac.uk)
