About the role

The Institute of Education, Arts and Community offers qualifications from certificate and diploma through to degree and postgraduate levels in social work, community services, the liberal arts (humanities and social sciences) and visual and performing arts.

As an integral member of our team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of courses within Indigenous Studies at undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to the Institutes research program and administrative functions.

As an Academic Level B, you will:

  • contribute to the development and delivery of courses at undergraduate and graduate levels;
  • contribute to the Institute’s research program and
  • contribute to the Institute’s administrative functions.

As an Academic Level C, you will:

  • contribute to the development and delivery of courses at undergraduate and graduate levels;
  • contribute to the Institute’s research program by participating in research activities and developing or maintaining an active research profile; and
  • contribute to the Institute’s administrative functions.

About you

You will work as part of the Institute’s team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, research and professional experience and demonstrated understanding of contemporary global trends in the field of Indigenous Studies and the ability to embed innovate approaches to research, teaching and learning.

You will possess:

  • a commitment to scholarship and a potential for academic advancement;
  • commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching;
  • previous experience in academic administration; and
  • ability to work collegially.
