Department of Fashion & Textiles
The department of Fashion & Textiles is the school’s largest department, offering design, leadership & strategy, and marketing education, at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The department supports one of the largest international student communities in Europe studying fashion leadership, management, and strategy programmes, whilst sustaining a long-held reputation for the nurturing of high-level design practice and craft-based skills.
About the role
This role focuses on maintaining our growing national and international reputation in Fashion Design. The role will focus on contributing to the development and leadership of key teaching and learning strategies within the school/department, delivering, and leading on high quality education delivery that complement the school and university’s broader education and research strategy in the capacity of programme leader for the BA Fashion Design programme.
About You
You will have strong academic and industry experience in Fashion Design, Professional Fashion Practice, Fashion and Sustainability. You will also be expected to contribute to curriculum develop, design programmes and modules as well as lead on innovative teaching approaches. You will be a strong leader in your field and be willing to work with colleagues both internal and external to the school. If you have a desire to develop and be a part of the school and departments education, pedagogic, research and enterprise strategy, by ensuring its sustained growth at national and international level this role is for you. With sustainability, digital, Fashion Design at the heart of this role you will be working alongside other academics and colleagues within the school to build on the already well-established national and international reputation.
