Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Associate Professor in Environmental Policy within UCD School Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy

Applications are invited for the position of Associate Professor in Environmental Policy. The successful candidate will evidence a strong teaching, research, and contribution track record in environmental policy and clear evidence of an upward trajectory of performance that will enable them to make an important contribution to the development of the Environmental Policy Subject into the future. With demonstrable leadership qualifications, experience and capabilities, the successful candidate will be expected to take an important leadership position in the Subject and School. Subject to nomination by the College Principal, and appointment by the President, they will serve as Head of School from as early as 2024. The successful candidate will contribute to fostering a collaborative research culture, promote a research-informed curriculum to address contemporary sustainability challenges, and translate the fruits of research into innovation and impact. They will contribute to the portfolio of Environmental Policy degree programmes, undertake research informed teaching to undergraduate and graduate programmes, and contribute to the development of the School, the College of Engineering and Architecture, and the wider University.

The School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy has an international reputation as a centre of excellence for research and teaching in a multidisciplinary School ranked in the global top 150 for `Built Environment' (QS Global Rankings), ranking number 1 in Ireland. The School is one of the largest non-executive schools in the University comprising four distinct subjects with circa 140 staff including 60 Faculty and, within the Architecture and Landscape Architecture subject areas, a very large number of part-time studio-based practitioner-teacher staff. The School has over 1000 students, including on a new joint BSc programme with Chang'an University, China. The School has a strong track record in research and has the second highest field-weighted citation index in UCD.

95 Associate Professor (7941) Salary Scale: 77,175 - 108,988 Per Annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
