Research Associate in the Division of Science (Physics), Dr. George Shubeita

Description

The laboratory of physics of living matter in the Division of Science, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Research Associate to study the mechanisms regulating intracellular cytoskeletal transport and its mis-regulation in disease models. The successful candidate will collaborate in an interdisciplinary group to tease out the roles microtubule-associated proteins play in various cellular processes including organelle distribution and delivery by molecular motor proteins.

Applicants must have a PhD in cell and molecular biology or a related field. Demonstrated experience working with cytoskeletal motors and microtubule-associated proteins is required. Experience with reconstituted in vitro molecular motor systems is highly desirable. Excellent written and oral scientific communication in English is essential.
