The Magzoub Laboratory (https://www.magzoub-lab.com ) at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications from individuals to be appointed as a Postdoctoral Associate. The research project, under the supervision of Professor Mazin Magzoub, will focus on elucidating structure, function and mechanism associated with pathogenic protein self-assembly (e.g. Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s diseases and type II diabetes).

Successful applicants will be highly motivated with an interest in working in the areas of Biophysics, Molecular Medicine, Chemical Biology, and must hold a Ph.D. degree in a related field. The ideal candidate will have research experience in protein misfolding diseases, amyloid research and/or protein biophysics, with a strong background in optical spectroscopy and microscopy. Experience in in vivo models (e.g. c elegans, mice) of protein misfolding diseases is highly desirable.
