Faculty Position Openings in Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at the National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, seeks applicants for one or two full-time tenure-track positions at any level commencing Spring 2024. Candidates with extraordinary promise or accomplishment in any research area are encouraged to apply, particularly in the fields of Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, but other chemistry fields are also considered. The qualification required to be considered for the positions is with a Ph.D. degree in chemistry or a closely related discipline and at least one year postdoctoral experience by the date of applying. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to teach in English fluently.

(2) Curriculum vitae (The suggestion form can be found at NSTC website. In the proposal document (p.25-28 NSTC personal information form), candidates should specify their research fields and the level of faculty position for which they would like to apply.)

(3) Copies of qualification documents (including Ph.D. diploma, graduate, and undergraduate transcripts)

(4) Publication list and the copies of publications within five years

(5) Three letters of recommendation (One of them must be provided by the Ph.D. advisor. Recommendation letters may be sent by email to the below contact list)

(6) Teaching statement (candidate should specify the courses they are able to teach and the outlines of the courses.)

(7) Research statement (including the estimated start-up fund including instrumentation and facility)
