The School of Interdisciplinary Studies (SIS) is established for strengthening the quality assurance and central support for general education, science courses and interdisciplinary programmes of the University. The SIS houses a number of interdisciplinary undergraduate programmes. The appointees will join the teaching team of the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Sports Coaching and Event Management and are expected to contribute to high quality teaching and education-related activities/duties.
Applicants should have postgraduate qualifications in relevant disciplines. The appointees will be expected to teach courses in Sports Coaching and Training, Sports Event Management, Event Marketing, Facility Management, Sports Governance and Sports Psychology and engage in professional development activities, student advising and leading co-curricular activities. Applicants with connection with the sports industry and experience in supervising students’ internship will be an advantage.
Applicants with less experience will be considered for appointment as Assistant Lecturer.
The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity, and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee(s). Appointments will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to two years.
