We are seeking an occupational therapist to join our creative and dynamic teaching team as an Assistant Professor. This role could suit an experienced academic or a therapist in practice with transferable skills who wants to develop an academic career.
You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge and experience to creatively develop, lead and deliver clinical and theoretical teaching and assessments. You will provide academic and pastoral support to students and contribute to student recruitment and admissions. There may be opportunity to contribute to our university occupational therapy clinic and to post graduate education.
You will be a team player who demonstrates a willingness to contribute to the vision of the Occupational Therapy team and the School of Allied Health Professions and Midwifery, making use of the different development opportunities available to you. You will work collaboratively with our service user and carer group and with our students to continually improve and develop our programmes.
We work collaboratively with NHS Trusts and the Council within Bradford, Airedale and Craven as well as across other private, independent, and voluntary organisations in our region. You will be required to support students on practice placement as well as contribute towards the development of innovative models of placement education.
You may already have some research experience and you are expected to become involved in research alongside our research Professors.
