Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of MedicineSchool of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 520403), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree and a strong research background in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics, Data Science or a related field, with knowledge of Pharmacoepidemiology and/or Pharmacoeconomics.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; strong communication and writing skills; excellent quantitative and analytic skills; a demonstrated track record of publishing academic research papers; and a high level of expertise in analysis of large and complex datasets.  They should also be self-motivated; hardworking; and able to work well in an interdisciplinary team. 

The appointee will work on impactful epidemiology and/or health economics projects involving medication safety, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, decision analytics and AI-driven health technology assessment.  He/She will provide statistical support on multiple research themes in autoimmune diseases, cardiology, psychiatry, oncology and infectious diseases (minor); and assist in drafting project report and leading original research article submission.  The post provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth and working with a diverse and dynamic team.  Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Dr. Shirley Li at sxueli@hku.hk and scan2030@hku.hk.
