Job Description
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, NUS, invites applications for Lecturer position in all cutting-edge areas of mechanical engineering (ME) including (but not limited to):
- Clean Energy Technologies
- Aerospace Systems
- New Experimental and Computational Methodologies in All Areas of Mechanics
- Green Manufacturing
- Robotics and Automation
- Applications of Machine Learning in ME
- ME in Medicine and Biology
- Micro/ Nano Materials and Systems

Interdisciplinary research collaboration is strongly encouraged and ample funding opportunities exist through competitive grants that promote R&D. The Department has strong affiliations with major research centres such as the Centre for Energy Research & Technology (CERT), Advanced Robotics Centre (ARC), Centre for Offshore Research & Engineering (CORE), Centre for Protective Technology (CPT), and several national research institutes in the field of high performance computing, materials engineering, advanced manufacturing, and nanotechnology and nanoscience.
The successful candidate must be able to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and the graduate levels in the above disciplines
Qualifications
PhD degree in mechanical engineering or closely related disciplines with 1 to 2 years of postgraduate experience
