There is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to manage and coordinate a HCF research foundation-funded project testing the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and scalability of a virtual hospital model of care for low back pain in the Sydney Local Health District.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • undertake research in Musculoskeletal Health
  • conduct quantitative analyses to inform the development and refinement of scientific content for a health solution and contribute to reports and academic papers
  • work with an established team to collect and analyse qualitative impact and process data
  • contribute to workplace culture within Sydney Musculoskeletal Health and Faculty of Medicine and Health and contribute to the strategic direction of the University

About you

  • hold relevant PhD in Musculoskeletal Health
  • proven research experience including written publications, participation in research teams
  • possess strong personal qualities and hold a collaborative approach that contributes to the development and maintenance of a positive workplace culture
  • demonstrates experience in literature searches and literature summaries
  • demonstrates the ability to write for both an academic and non-academic audience
  • demonstrates experience in research in Musculoskeletal Health
  • demonstrates experience in qualitative and quantitative research analysis
  • financial management experience and literacy, experience in management budgets and controlling income and expenditure
  • willingness to participate in mentoring development activities with junior staff and students
