Senior Lecturer / Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer, School of Interdisciplinary Studies

School of Interdisciplinary Studies

The School of Interdisciplinary Studies (SIS) is established for strengthening the quality assurance and central support for general education, science courses and interdisciplinary programmes of the University. The SIS houses a number of interdisciplinary undergraduate programmes. The appointees will join the teaching team of the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Public Management and Smart Governance and are expected to contribute to high quality teaching.

General Requirements

Applicants should have relevant postgraduate qualifications in Social Sciences, Public Management or relevant disciplines. The appointees are expected to teach a variety of subjects including Public Management, Data Analytics, Housing Policy, Public Finance, and engage in student advising and mentoring. Preference will be given to those with experience in programme management and development. For appointment as Senior Lecturer, applicants should have substantial relevant experience.

Applicants with less experience will be considered for appointment as Assistant Lecturer.

Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity, and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee(s). Appointments will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to two years.
