Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program (WHNP) & Nurse-Midwifery (NM)/WHNP Program Faculty

The Georgetown University School of Nursing (GUSON) seeks a full-time Educator Track faculty to provide expert teaching and professional role modeling in our online Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program (WHNP) & Nurse-Midwifery (NM)/WHNP Programs.

Responsibilities include:
  • didactic and clinical instruction within content areas of expertise (including graduate-level core and DNP courses) in the online setting,
  • teaching at objective clinical intensives in-person on-campus and virtually online,
  • clinical faculty advising for students in precepted experiences,
  • participation in program and GUSON faculty meetings, and
  • on-going professional development and participation in curricular revision and implementation, with a focus on advancing health equity and addressing racism with the program content

The successful applicant is also expected to participate in scholarship and service activities and maintain current clinical practice as it relates to state law for practitioners.

The GUSON NM/WHNP & WHNP Programs are seeking an organized, innovative, mission-aligned, faculty member to be part of a dynamic and well-functioning team. The successful applicant will have an earned doctorate in nursing or related field, certification as CNM/CM and/or WHNP, prior teaching experience at the graduate and/or doctoral levels, prior experience with managing or participating in curriculum development and/or course revision, excellent interpersonal and team-building skills, comfort with technology and teaching using a virtual platform, and evidence of recent clinical practice. The applicant must hold a current licensure as a CNM/CM and/or APRN in their state of residence and be eligible for RN and CNM/CM and/or APRN licensure in the District of Columbia. Applicants eligible for hire must hold primary residence in an approved state. Academic rank will be offered commensurate with education and experience.
