Research Assistant / Associate (Proteins)

Job Description
The Centre for Advanced 2D Materials invites application for a Research Assistant or Research Associate position to work on a project "Characterization of Proteins from Body Fluids".

The duties will include the following:

• To design and perform experiments on biochemical composition and analysis of body fluids (e.g., saliva, urine, blood, sweat)
• To collect, analyze, and interpret experimental results
• To draft reports and research papers
• To maintain housekeeping of the laboratory area and general maintenance tasks, ensuring laboratory safety
• To perform other related duties to support the research group

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in life sciences, biomedical engineering, or other fields relevant to the study area (protein isolation, characterization, and quantification)
• Previous experience in:
  1. Strictly required: biomolecular techniques, protein isolation and purification, qPCR, colourimetric assays, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, ELISA, protein microarrays, and mass spectrometry for the characterization of proteins
  2. Submission of applications for IRB/DSRB (ethics) and recruitment of subjects/volunteers
  3. Writing scientific/technical reports
