Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in Speech-Language Pathology (2 posts) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 519999), to commence on August 1, 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above, a recognized professional qualification in Speech Therapy, and at least 5 years’ post-qualification clinical experience as a speech therapist. They should have a good command of written and spoken English, and good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Chinese (including Cantonese) would be an advantage. Applicants with (i) a strong track record of undergraduate and/or postgraduate level teaching in speech-language pathology, (ii) experience in clinical education, and (iii) expertise in one or more of the following areas – pediatric, developmental, school-age, or acquired speech, language, and communication disorders would be preferred.

The appointees will take up substantial teaching responsibilities in the Faculty’s Speech-Language Pathology programme at the undergraduate level. They will also assume service/administrative responsibilities as appropriate. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
