The Post – Lecturer Researcher Development

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an outstanding candidate with a high degree of professionalism to the Research Development Team, within Research Services.

Working collaboratively across academic and professional service departments, you will help us to meet our goal of delivering high quality support to our research staff through enhanced personal and professional development opportunities.

You will work with the senior leadership team and key stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives and innovative projects relating to researcher development and research culture change, including a framework of opportunity for researchers personal and professional development, coaching and career progression. 

A passion to support and drive forward equality, diversity and inclusion matters, and for continuous evolution and improvement of the University’s professional researcher development programme for staff and PGR students. You will:

  • Have an in-depth knowledge and experience of research staff development, preferably within Higher Education and/or a research environment.
  • Experience of developing and delivering professional development programmes/courses/activities for Postgraduate Researchers, Post-Graduate Research Students and/or their supervisors.
  • Knowledge of developing online teaching resources and modules.
  • Be able to demonstrate ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to deliver results
