Job Description
The work in this position will involve a combination of mechanical design, electronics design, programming, mathematical and computational modeling, and hardware implementation. The candidate will work with Prof. Gregory Chirikjian on one or more of his research projects.
The successful candidate should have knowledge of at least three of the following:
- robot kinematics
- strong programming skills
- experience working on robot hardware
- computer vision methods
- design of electronic circuits
- systems integration
Qualifications
- BEng/BSc/MEng/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience in designing mechanisms and kinematics modeling
- Proficiency with Solidworks, ROS, Matlab, Abaqus, or other related tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good teamwork abilities, self-motivation, and self-reflection.
- Proficiency in the English language, both in oral and written form.
