The Role

We are seeking two excellent academics to join our staff as Assistant Lecturers in Law on a full-time temporary, basis, effective from 1st September 2023 to 31st January 2024.

Applications are welcome from all those with experience in teaching and researching any area of law but particularly those with expertise in teaching Company Law, Business Law, and/or first year legal skills/legal systems/introduction to law modules.

The persons appointed will have a proven record of teaching, research, and publication, appropriate to career stage. They will be expected, in particular, to make a strong contribution to the teaching programme of the School, and to undertake teaching duties on the School’s undergraduate programmes (LLB, BCL, and Études Juridiques), and postgraduate programmes (International Business Law, International Justice, and Global Legal Studies).The appointees will be expected to sustain and conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance, and generate publications of international standard. 

Assistant Lecturer (2022) Salary Scale: €37,166 – €64,719 p.a. pro rata (14 points) 

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
