Division/Organization: Division of Health Affairs
Appointment Period for Non-Tenure Position: 1 year
Tenure Status: Non Tenure Track
FTE: 1.0
Scope of Job:
The Department of Molecular Science at the UTRGV SOM is located in Edinburg, TX, and seeks to hire a highly qualified faculty member to teach anatomy/histology primarily within the pre-clerkship curricular years of the MD program. In addition to addressing the underlying basic science, this module also addresses relevant pathological changes seen either anatomically, histologically or during embryological development, in response to disease, injury or genetic abnormalities. This module encourages the development of skills that promote the use of evidence-based approaches towards the understanding, mitigation and treatment of disease. The faculty member will also be required to serve as a facilitator in the Problem based learning components of the modules across the entire pre-clerkship curriculum.
