Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and prepare academic articles;
  • Mentor and supervise graduates, undergraduates and research assistants; and
  • Participate in grant proposal writing.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Engineering/Science or a related field which meets the criteria as set out in the guidelines of the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC);
  • Familiar with deep learning toolbox and classical framework;
  • Rich experience in one or more of the following fields: computer graphics, computer vision, 3D modelling, 3D Rendering, depth sensing, SLAM, etc.;
  • Rich experience in one of the programming languages such as Python, C++, Java;
  • Work experience in Unix/Linux OS;
  • Good interpersonal, communication and time management skills;
  • Good coordination, organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Highly motivated with a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, and to deliver projects on time; and
  • Knowledge of research equipment setup or chemical handling would be an added advantage.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
