In the Student Hub, our job is to take ownership of student queries, providing timely solutions and consistent advice, giving our students the opportunity to focus on their studies and make positive memories that will last a lifetime.
About the role
The Student Hub is seeking passionate and motivated advisors who will work to support our students across a 24/7 service, with a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off rota, working a 12-hour shift, from 10:00 until 22:00. These posts are offered on a full-time, permanent basis. There is also a further 10% shift enhancement in addition to this. You will be responsible for the provision of advice, information and guidance to University of Southampton students and customers on a wide array of subjects including student fees and funding, accommodation, graduation, careers events and ID cards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual who is interested in enhancing their customer service skills. The successful candidate must be available to work across a variety of Southampton based Student Hub locations.
About you
A successful Student Hub Advisor will possess excellent customer service skills, as well as a competency in Microsoft Office and an aptitude for learning service specific software and internal systems. A knowledge of higher education, student support and issues effecting students from a wide range of backgrounds is desirable. The role involves interaction with our students and the successful candidate must be a good communicator, both written and verbal, and confident working alongside a variety of colleagues, and building relationships.
