Job Description

A Research Assistant position is available in the laboratory of Prof. Basel al-Ramadi, Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology, College of Medicine & Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University. The successful candidate will be engaged in a project investigating genetic basis of immunoregulatory responses in cancer. The position is for an enthusiastic young scientist interested in immunology. We are looking for energetic and highly motivated candidates who can work with minimal supervision. The successful candidate should have at least a MSc degree in a biomedical discipline with good knowledge and research experience in more than one of the following areas: immunology, preclinical cancer models, flow cytometry, molecular/cell biology, and bioinformatics. Primary responsibilities include the design and performance of research experiments using preclinical models. Prior experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, biochemical assays, and murine models is preferred. Additional duties include preparing and maintaining detailed records, logs and summary reports of all experimental findings, conducting literature searches, analyzing data using appropriate software, and performing other job-related duties, as required.

Minimum Qualification

The applicant must have a MSc degree in immunology/microbiology, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, or pharmaceutical science discipline.
