Job Description

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is seeking to hire an Instructor in Statistics to begin Fall 2023 at the College of Business & Economics (CBE) within the Department of Analytics in the Digital Era. The CBE has been accredited by AACSB since 2000. It is the only business unit in the Middle East, and one of only 182 institutions in the world to hold both business and accounting accreditation. Less than five percent of business programs globally are accredited by AACSB. To be considered for this position, applicants must have earned a master degree in Statistics. The primary professional responsibilities of instructional faculty members are: teaching and service to the University.

These responsibilities include: teaching undergraduate courses, maintaining office hours, advising students, engaging in innovative and technology-based approaches to learning and teaching, participating in committees, and working collaboratively and productively with colleagues. Therefore, successful applicants are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence with relevant experience in teaching statistics to undergraduate students from diverse majors.

Minimum Qualification

Applicants must have an earned a master degree in statistics and have relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Industrial and professional experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualification

Master degree in Statistics with a minimum of two years of teaching experience.
