The School of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to recruit a Simulation Manager who will lead and manage the Health & Life Sciences Simulation Team to successfully deliver results in support of learning, teaching, research, and enterprise activity in the School. This position will continue the embryonic development and implementation of immersive learning and simulation facilities within the School of HLS.

The post holder will work autonomously using initiative to plan and manage significant personal workload, being reactive to the demands of all stakeholders and readily embrace change. They will provide guidance in relation to simulation teaching, simulated placement development, simulation related research projects and clinical skills-based support requirements. This is a new role in which the post holder will have an opportunity to build their Team.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and will have demonstrable experience of working in a simulated or skills-based environment. An excellent understanding of simulation-based learning educational processes as well as demonstrable knowledge of low/med/hi-fidelity simulation technologies, general science and clinical technical resources and practices will be expected.

Excellent written, verbal and online communication skills are essential, as is the ability to explain technical details in a non-technical manner to academic colleagues. A flexible and adaptable approach to work is crucial with the ability to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing expertise.

This post will be based at Lanarkshire campus, with travel required to work at any UWS campus or location from time to time to meet needs of the business.
